Personality: because she literally has a ten-year-old's mind (read below), she's very, VERY easily hurt and doesn't always try her very best. She cries over boo-boos and always has an attention to detail that can't be missed. But when she's in 'teenager mode', she becomes much more self-reliant and responsible, and will always do anything she is asked. She is sarcastic and so different that she's always been the 'lone wolf' of any group she's ever been in.
History/Biography:

Once upon a time, there was a little girl, named Shizuka. Once upon a time, I was alive.
No more than ten years old, I gallavanted around with my best friend Ari everywhere. Ari always supported my dream of becoming a card mage, and I helped Ari with a dream of her own. We were at peace.
Then one day, an enemy clan attacked. I tried to fight with the little amount of magic I had, and wasn't about to back down anytime soon.
"RUN! FOR GODS SAKE ARI, JUST GO SAVE YOURSELF AND RUN!"
The last words I ever spoke were full of pain. But for the briefest moment, I felt it, the magic surging through me.
And then I died.

*what really happened*

Shizuka had a happy little life. She was loved by her family and all her friends adored her. But then, everything changed.
Shizuka died very young, trying to protect her friend. She was ten. She spent a long six and a half years in the Underworld, making friends with evil spirits and finally reaching her dream- becoming a card mage. Although she got wiser, her body was physically still ten. She was convinced she would be a little girl forever.
She was correct, to an extent. But her 'forever' ended very abruptly as an evil mage suddenly used a forbidden spell of necromancy to raise her from the dead, bringing her through a portal that would change the way she saw the world forever. In an instant, she became a seventeen year old, ready to live the life she missed to whatever extent. With a few new dark spirit cards along with her regular ones still in her bag, she set out into the world, ready to face life once more- and to wait for the time when she would die. Again.

Basic items: in her bag she stores a small stash of throwing knives, her cards, and any other small items she needs
Weapons: throwing knives in her bag, and a knife hidden behind a secretly long pocket.

Likes: her friends, books, evil spirits, the Underworld and candy
Dislikes: being called annoying or weird, angels (well hey, after you spend six years with your only friends being, well, evil, wouldn't you be a little afraid of angels, too?), and the planet earth.
Is deathly afraid of: statues. Always the statues....
Goal: to see her spirit friends again and/or to go back 'home' (the Underworld)
Habits: blowing up her cheeks when she's angry, and excessively eat ice cream when she's sad
Flaws: Shizuka doesn't trust ANYONE with her deepest secrets. Repeat: ANYONE. Even her best friend Ari isn't included. She's also really had at thinking things through, usually resulting in sticky situations.
Lover: none, but she doesn't really care either way, she'll get into a relationship when she feels like it
Hobbies: cooking and rock-collecting (yes. Shizuka collects rocks.)
